Elderly and still a gamer at heart!

One of my friends shared an article I just had to write about because it's just so sweet.

Ever been told video games are "childish"?
That you're too "old" for gaming?
You should find a new hobby?

Or have you just seen this according to the media, Internet and every other source available that will put down gaming no matter what the cost?

Never fear! Elderly people are here to erase those thoughts and give hope in the world that gamers will always be gamers until they are beyond retirement age.

Meet Hilda Knott, a 85 year old lady who enjoys video games of all sorts just like us. Racing, adventure, fighting and puzzles, she can't get enough of them and has been playing them for over 40 years. She admits that gaming helps keep her mentally active, her brain is getting to work to figure out challenging levels, missions & quests and better yet; she's having the greatest of fun.

She even games with her aunt, who happens to be 94 years old. How sweet! Hilda is a prime example of a gamer who enjoys a game simply for what it's worth in the comfort of her home on a 65inch television screen (which helps due to her eyesight). Despite the negativity that follows gaming according to the people of the world who don't understand it, not just children, teenagers and young adults of this generation enjoy it but even the elderly.

So the next time you hear, read or get personally told that video games aren't worth the time, effort or money and will only poison your mind; think back to this lovely little old lady and the joy she brings to the gaming generation of today.
