A Korra Release: Eska and Bolin!
Bryan Konietzko recently posted on his Tumblr blog a photograph of the colour correction process in which Korra Book 2 is currently going through with each of its episodes. This picture is however very special; why? Because it shows an entirely new character, one of Korra's cousins whom is named Eska! We see her here casually talking to the adorable Bolin while looking fabulous with her Tahno eyeliner flicks.
To me she looks like a Water Tribe version of Mai? Her face looks very similar to the "high & noble" flawless look Mai has and her hair as well as expression reminds me much of our favourite Fire Nation non bender. Below, a dedicated fan made this gif using just the stills from this one slice of animation. Tis amazing what can be made with a dose of fandom love & editing magic. Konietzko was even highly impressed!
We still don't know for sure whether Book 2 will have a release date any time soon or not, though I highly doubt it will be soon considering animation colour correction is still happening. I'd rather patience, a wonderful slice of imagination & unconditional love be used carefully to create the best possible outcome for this second dose of the new Avatar and her adventures then it be rushed for the sake of keeping the fan-base sane which I admit, we're all beginning to lose the plot as each Korra-less month passes.
