Latest Nintendo Announcement-A New Legend of Zelda for the 3DS!
Nintendo have once again brought great news to it's fans via Nintendo Direct today. So many new game releases are in motion and this includes an unexpected release of a much loved title which now seems to be getting it's own sequel.
A new 3DS Zelda in development was announced today and as a surprising twist, will be based in the exact same world as 1992 SNES title The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
By taking the two-dimensional world originally seen in A Link To The Past and transforming its top down perspective by adding in more volume & importantly height which according to Reggie Fils-Aime will give developers the ability to "utilise height differences as a puzzle solving mechanic", this new Zelda title leads the path to many promising things to come for our Hero in Green.
Though despite being based in the same world as ALTTP, the storyline & dungeons are completely new and unrelated. Link can also funnily enough, become a 2D drawing and move within always through game-play, by moving in the walls your view point changes which will reveal connections in the dungeon areas you couldn't see once before; thus becoming a key mechanic in solving puzzles within the game.
The new Legend of Zelda will be released (hopefully) this holiday season of 2013, so keep your eyes peeled open!
