Preparing for Camcon, Tomb Raider Underworld and Boiled Eggs
So since last month I've been basically grinding my way through getting important things done. I'm due to make my debute as a starving artist, I mean freelance illustrator...at the anime convention CamCon 2013. It's nerve wrecking and I'm trying to limit myself as to what to draw! Especially as fan art is so popular, I'm just selling tons of sketchy prints as colouring will be my downfall due to the tight schedule. I'll colour a few using the basic cell shading/soft colouring technique I use, but not all. I have a good mixture of fan art so far ex. Studio Ghibli, Animal Crossing etc.
I can pray this can only go well.
Besides that I've been playing on my beloved and long forgotten Xbox 360 again. This time I discovered the gem that is Tomb Raider Underworld. So far since playing the game I'm really enjoying it. I'm playing on "Casual Explorer" mode and now on to a level based in Thailand. I'm grateful that I played Legend over a few years ago as it seems there are obvious links between the two games in the series, especially with two particular characters. Oh Amanda you crazy bitch...
Gameplay so far is more easier than I thought, most likely due to the mode I'm playing under, but areas of exploration in this game have been a real treat. I've noticed it IS rather glitchy though in an amusing way. Shooting armed men down and they look like distorted ragdolls and Lara only has to leap down a small step to practically collapse; it's great!
I must play more when I get a chance; it's awful trying to decide whether to sacrifice drawing for gaming time lol.
Now I'm off to go make some boiled eggs as part of my healthy lifestyle month. The amount of sugar intake I've had due to stressing out over everythiiiiiiiiiiiing and anythiiiiiiiiiiiiiing has not done me any favours.
Over and out!
